Alerce es un colegio candidato al IB que ofrece el programa PEP que se impartirá en más de 109 países de todo el mundo. Nuestro plan de estudios está guiado por seis temas transdisciplinarios de importancia global que involucran a los estudiantes en las edades comprendidas entre los 3 y los 12 años. Nuestras familias encuentran los temas desafiantes, relevantes y significativos. La indagación continua se hace presente en el día a día a través del curriculum transdisciplinario, ayudando a los niños a convertirse en pensadores reflexivos, de mentalidad abierta y bien informados con buenas habilidades de comunicación y que se comportan con tranquilidad, equilibrio y demuestran temple de asumir riesgos.
El programa PYP IBO refuerza y promueve nuestra Filosofía y valores escolares, convirtiéndonos verdaderamente en el único programa multicultural con mentalidad internacional en la ciudad y el segundo en el estado solo por detrás del Colegio Americano de San Carlos, colegio hermano ya acreditado por el IB.
En Middle School y High School, nos esforzamos por lograr en los estudiantes una educación académica alta, multicultural y trilingüe. A través del aprendizaje transdisciplinario, las familias encontrarán un currículo sólido y altamente exigente que desafiará a los estudiantes y los hará responsables de su propio aprendizaje. Se convertirán en aprendices independientes y centrados, hambrientos de conocimientos y habilidades. Con un sólido programa (STEM) basado en matemáticas, ciencias, programación y tecnología, nuestro plan de estudios los ayudará en la búsqueda de sus futuras aspiraciones universitarias.
Alerce, “AFI”, is an IB World School that offers the PYP program taught in over 109 countries around the world. Our curriculum is guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance that engage students, ranging in age from 3 to 12. Furthermore, our families find the themes challenging, relevant and significant. Continuous inquiry through transdisciplinary curriculum helps children become reflective thinkers who are open-minded and knowledgeable with good communication skills who carry themselves with care, balance and demonstrate the courage to take risks.
The PYP IBO program reinforces and promotes our School Philosophy and values, truly making us the only multicultural international minded program in the city and the second in the State behind our sister school Colegio Americano de San Carlos.
In Middle School and High School, we strive to achieve high academic, multiculturality and trilingual education in students. Through transdisciplinary learning, families will find a robust and highly demanding curriculum that will challenge students and make them accountable for their own learning. They will become independent and centered learners, who hunger for knowledge and skills. With a strong STEM program, our curriculum will help them in the pursuit of their future university aspirations.
